6 Quick and Easy Tips on: Cooking and Clean Eating

1.What is Clean Eating?

As per cleaneating.com Clean Eating is:

“The soul of clean eating is consuming food the way nature delivered or, as close to it as possible. It is not a diet; it’s a lifestyle approach to food and its preparation. It’s about eating real food, for a healthy, happy life.”

2. Cook Intuitively.

Listen to your instincts when cooking.

Ask yourself what you need to use up in your pantry and refrigerator instead of being so rigid with a recipe.

Think of recipes as guides instead.

3. I LOVE Copper and Cast Iron Pans!

Copper pans are naturally non-stick, affordable and a breeze to clean, but nothing browns the way cast iron pans do.

I use both.

4. Make a soup out of it.

Use up veggies in the crisper that aren’t crisp anymore and don’t look “perfect”.

I even use the greens when possible.

Think carrot tops, scallions, parsley, etc.)

5. Batch cooking tip.

Cut onions and peppers into strips and then store them in a freezer (squeeze all the air out and flatten when zipping shut).

Voila!

They are ready when needed.

6. You may be caffeine sensitive and not know it.

Most People are but choose to ignore the symptoms or are unaware.

Don’t worry, I’m not asking you to give up your caffeinated beverage but be aware that it does affect your sleep.

It definitely does for me.

I need to have my last caffeinated beverage around 1pm so I can STAY ASLEEP (I go to sleep around 9:30pm) if not, I will find myself waking up in the middle of the night.

Not fun.
